Paint Pittston Pink™, a 501c3 organization, was established in 2014 with a mission to “bring the community together to support a cure for ALL cancers through research and clinical trials.”
100% of the proceeds generated by Paint Pittston Pink™ are donated to directly for research using the Paint Pittston Pink™ Fund at The University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, PA and The Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa, FL.
The 50m dash where men wear high heels is an annual staple of The Paint Pittston Pink™ fundraising events and brainchild of Sal Sciandra, husband of Paint Pittston Pink™ President and Co-Founder, Barbara Sciandra. The race serves as a symbol for the pain that women, and even men, face while undergoing cancer treatment.
